To manage access to the electronics manufacturing floor, we integrated our facial recognition device with electrostatic sensors to create an access control system. The sensors are necessary since latent static charge in humans can damage electronics on the floor, a phenomenon known as ESD. Having been installed at the entrance, this system both identifies/logs the user and analyzes data from the electrostatic sensors to determine whether or not to grant access.
